## Seven New EtherCAT Analog Terminals from Beckhoff
Beckhoff Automation has launched seven new EtherCAT analog terminals, offering 16-bit resolution and a channel count that varies by model, with options for two, four, or eight channels.
The new analog input, analog output, and combined analog input/output terminals provide higher performance compared to the previous 12-bit models. The EL4374 model, in particular, offers design convenience and cost advantages when a limited number of inputs and outputs are required for a device.
### Features of the New EtherCAT Analog Terminals
- 16-bit resolution
- Channel options: 2, 4, or 8 channels
- Analog input: EL3072, EL3074, EL3078
- Analog output: EL4072, EL4074, EL4078
- Combined Input/Output: EL4374 (with 2 analog input and 2 analog output channels)
- Operating voltage: 10 V or current mode 20 mA
- Signal variety from -20 mA / 0 mA / 4 mA to 20 mA
- Each I/O port can be individually parameterized via TwinCAT software
- Sensor measurement range: ±107% of nominal value
- Compliance with NAMUR NE43 standard
- Support for IEC EtherCAT protocol and control via TwinCAT software
- Output channels can drive a maximum load of 750 Ω at 20 mA current
### Preferences and Usage Advantages
The new terminal blocks feature flexible signal options for easy integration with existing hardware. The EL4374 model, by housing both input and output channels on the same block, reduces the number of devices, simplifies design, and saves space. This allows machine designers and automation engineers to integrate high-precision, multi-channel solutions into their systems more cost-effectively.
This new series of EtherCAT analog terminals from Beckhoff offers extensive possibilities for new automation systems in industry, as well as for expanding and modernizing existing systems.
