## Physik Instrumente (PI) Wins Gold at the 2026 MassEcon Economic Impact Awards
Physik Instrumente (PI) received the Gold award at the 2026 MassEcon Economic Impact Awards for its significant contributions to the Massachusetts state economy.
This award, which evaluates companies demonstrating outstanding achievement in criteria such as job creation, facility expansion, investment, community engagement, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the state of Massachusetts, recognizes PI's investment in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and cleanroom capabilities.
### PI's Investments and Achievements
PI has made significant investments to increase its capacity for developing and manufacturing high-precision motion systems at its US headquarters in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. These systems are used in semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, photonics, life sciences, and advanced research.
