### The Power of MAXXDRIVE Industrial Gearboxes

MAXXDRIVE gearboxes provide the high torque and durability required in the demanding environments of the mining sector. These units are typically used in applications requiring high starting loads and continuous operation, such as large conveyor systems, bucket elevators, winches, and crushers. The one-piece UNICASE housing offers structural rigidity and leak protection, ensuring durability against temperature fluctuations and abrasive dust in mining environments.

MAXXDRIVE gearboxes are equipped with cooling systems, such as axial fans or internal cooling coils, to maintain thermal stability under high loads, reduce maintenance times, and extend system life. Additionally, many options commonly used in mining applications are available, such as elastic input couplings, disc/drum brakes, auxiliary drives, and oil coolers.

In the two-stage MAXXDRIVE XT models, the special ribbed UNICASE housing and improved axial fan design increase thermal power limits, often eliminating the need for external cooling in harsh and high-temperature environments.

### Durable Geared Motors

UNICASE helical bevel gearboxes, with their one-piece robust housing, offer long-lasting gearing, high axial and radial load capacity, and low backlash. These units are preferred for heavy-duty applications such as screw classifiers, conveyor travel drives, and surface mining equipment. They offer a torque range up to 442,500 lb-in with 11 different case sizes.

Parallel shaft UNICASE gearboxes, with their compact design, provide high efficiency and performance in limited spaces. With application-specific designs and extensive mounting options, they are suitable for excavator, drilling, and crusher systems.

NORD electric AC motors are manufactured with short delivery times, in compliance with global efficiency standards. They offer extensive configuration possibilities with options such as IP66 protection, brakes, encoders, and thermal protection. Dust and gas explosion-protected motors provide additional safety and efficiency in hazardous mining environments.

### Dynamic Electronic Control Products

NORDAC PRO variable frequency drives offer a centralized control cabinet solution with a wide power range up to 200 hp and multi-Ethernet protocol support. Easy parameterization is provided via encoder interfaces and USB connectivity, while functional safety features like STO and SS1 protect both the drive system and operations.

Thanks to the integrated PLC, material blockages can be detected, and the system automatically reverses direction to clear the blockage.
