## Nord Modules Introduces New Top Modules for Pallet Handling on KUKA AMRs

Nord Modules has announced its new Pallet Mover modules developed for the KUKA KMP 1500P autonomous mobile robot (AMR). These modules enable the transportation of pallets between stations in manufacturing, packaging, and logistics applications.

Autonomous mobile robots offer effective solutions for optimizing the movement of raw materials and products within a factory or warehouse. Denmark-based Nord Modules manufactures lifting systems, conveyors, and accessories for AMRs. The company currently supports quick lift and standard lift modules for AMRs from MiR, Omron, Robotize, and Otto Motors. These modules are mounted on top of the AMR, creating autonomous lifting and delivery systems.

### Nord Pallet Mover Product Series

Nord Modules also introduced a conveyor module developed for the KUKA KMP 1500P AMR. This module is mounted on top of the AMR and can pick up and drop off pallets from the robot using motorized rollers.

The Nord Pallet Mover consists of three different versions: PM800, PM1000, and PM1200. Each model is compatible with different pallet types and offers bidirectional connectivity, allowing pallets to be loaded onto the AMR from the front or back. An automatic mechanical stop securely fastens pallets during transport, while the rollers are locked when the AMR is in motion.

The load is centered using optical sensors before the AMR moves. This reduces the risk of tipping and ensures more stable movement. Status lights at the front and back of the conveyor indicate operating status and service needs.

### Additional Features and Compatibility

Nord Modules offers optional barcode scanner support. This scanner can read barcodes on product packaging and transmit the data to ERP or warehouse management systems. Additionally, a blue spotlight can be projected onto the floor to warn workers when the AMR approaches. Connection sensors measure distance and position, increasing deployment accuracy, especially for large modules.

When purchasing a robot, only the robot and controller are acquired; the equipment that enables it to perform tasks is designed afterward.
