    KUKA has introduced the KR TITAN ultra, a new industrial robot with a high payload capacity, designed for automotive manufacturing, battery assembly, and heavy logistics operations. With a payload capacity of up to 1,500 kg and a reach of up to 4,200 mm, it makes a significant difference in heavy-duty applications.

    ### High Payload Capacity and Extensive Reach
    The KR TITAN ultra was developed for handling large and heavy components such as battery packs, car body modules, and heavy tooling systems. Its most powerful version offers a payload capacity of 1,500 kg and a reach of 3,200 mm. As of mid-January, two new models with a 1,000 kg payload capacity and reach options of 4,200 mm and 3,700 mm have also become available. This variety allows users to select the appropriate configuration based on load conditions and workspace size.

    ### Stability and Dynamism for Demanding Processes
    The robot's mechanical structure and motion control serve applications where repeatability, structural rigidity, and cycle time are critical. The double-linked arm architecture reduces inertia, ensuring stable movement even under high dynamic loads. According to Maximilian Pettkuhn, KUKA Product Manager, the combination of payload capacity, reach, and modular design creates new automation opportunities in the heavy-duty segment.

    The KR TITAN ultra is manufactured with a modular design philosophy that simplifies planning, commissioning, and maintenance processes. This architecture simplifies integration into scalable automation cells while also supporting long-term maintenance management. Low maintenance requirements and energy-efficient components reduce the total cost of ownership.

    ### Early Industrial Applications
    Shortly after its market launch, the KR TITAN ultra was integrated into a joint project with PIA Automation for use in large component and battery production processes in the automotive sector. Manufactured in Augsburg, this robot reinforces KUKA's strength in the heavy-duty robotics field with its high payload capacity, extensive reach, and modular flexibility.
