## Kollmorgen Expands Hazardous Environment Portfolio with AKME Servo Motors

Kollmorgen has introduced its ATEX and IECEx certified AKME series servo motors for use in hazardous environments containing explosive gases and dust. This new series offers machine builders more flexible solutions with its compact and versatile performance.

AKME servo motors can operate at speeds up to 5000 rpm, compatible with drives powered by 48 V, 75 V DC or 120, 240, 400 V AC, across IEC frame sizes 2 to 7. Various feedback options are supported, including resolver, SFD-M, ComCoder, EnDat, Hiperface, and BiSS B. Additionally, they provide high torque density, response sensitivity, and accuracy, making them an ideal match for AKD, AKD2G, and Kollmorgen Essentials™ servo drives.
