    ## Isembard to Open 25 AI-Powered Factories with $50 Million Series A Investment

Isembard has received a $50 million Series A investment to accelerate its plan to open 25 AI-powered factories by the end of 2026. The company also aims to expand its engineering teams by opening operations in Germany, France, and Ukraine.

DALLAS and LONDON, March 2026 — Isembard has secured $50 million in Series A funding less than 12 months after its seed round. This capital will accelerate the company's plan to open 25 factories by the end of 2026; it will support the launch of operations in Germany, France, and Ukraine, and the expansion of its engineering teams.

This investment round was led by Union Square Ventures, an early backer of Twitter, Coinbase, Etsy, Abridge, and Twilio. New investors Tamarack Global and IQ Capital joined the round alongside existing investors Notion Capital and CIV. Angel investors include Alex Bouaziz, CEO of Deel, Andrei Danescu, CEO of Dexory Robotics, and Matt Briers, former CFO of Wise.

    ### Market and Industry Dynamics

Component manufacturing is a $1.8 trillion annual market. However, 95% of manufacturing is carried out by small businesses, and these businesses are rapidly declining. The average business owner is over 65 years old, and 40% plan to retire within the next five years. This situation, coupled with increasing demand due to reshoring and increased spending in critical sectors, could lead to the erosion of Europe's and North America's industrial capacity.

    ### Isembard and MasonOS

Isembard manufactures high-precision components for sectors such as aerospace and defense. The company operates its own and franchised factories, powered by its proprietary software and AI system called MasonOS. MasonOS automatically optimizes factory performance by integrating quoting, planning, supply chain, production, quality control, and delivery into a single intelligent operating layer.

    ### Expansion and Business Model

The company identifies successful operators in manufacturing, military, franchising, and the general economy and equips them with its technology, brand, engineering standards, and access to customer demand. Franchisees can either establish new Isembard factories from scratch or convert existing businesses. This approach enables rapid expansion of high-quality manufacturing capacity while preserving local ownership and strengthening independent industrial power in the UK, US, and Europe.

    ### Executive Perspectives

Alexander Fitzgerald, Founder and CEO of Isembard, said, "Manufacturing is the fundamental source of security, prosperity, and purpose for nations. This Series A investment allows us to open more factories, invest in MasonOS, support successful franchisees, and hire the best engineers in Europe and the US. Our mission is to create industrial acceleration."

Rebecca Kaden, Managing Partner at Union Square Ventures, stated, "Isembard is redefining the process of owning and operating a factory. By combining deep operational expertise with MasonOS, they are removing barriers to high-performance manufacturing businesses and offering a capital-efficient path to scale. At a time of increasing demand for advanced manufacturing and rising interest in SME ownership, Isembard brings these two forces together. We are excited to work with Alexander and his team."
