## Edge AI Modules and Human-Machine Interfaces from SECO Based on MediaTek
SECO is introducing its MediaTek-based embedded platforms that offer local artificial intelligence processing capabilities for industrial and medical device interfaces.
Performing AI operations directly on the device in embedded systems reduces latency and connectivity dependency in industrial and medical equipment. SECO will expand its edge AI portfolio with MediaTek-based system modules and AI-powered HMI solutions at Embedded World 2026 (March 10-12, Nuremberg).
### Next-Generation SOM: Low-Power AI Processors
The SOM-Trizeps-X-Genio360/360P expands the Trizeps SODIMM System Module family with MediaTek Genio 360 and pin-compatible Genio 360P IoT processors. These 6 nm processors integrate a neural processing unit with over 8 TOPS, enabling on-device inference and generative AI operations without an external accelerator.
Typical applications include advanced industrial HMIs, handheld terminals, smart devices, and distributed AI edge nodes in industrial IoT environments.
Key features of the module:
- 67.6 mm × 36.7 mm form factor
- SODIMM connector for carrier board integration
- Long-term pin and software compatibility
- Typical power consumption under 5 W
- Industrial operating temperature range: −40 °C to +85 °C
Support for 4K displays, camera interfaces, and industrial connectivity enables integration into inspection terminals, control panels, and mobile service devices where visual processing is required locally.
### Local AI Processing in Industrial Interfaces
The Modular Vision platform combines hardware and software lifecycle management in human-machine interfaces with the Clea OS.
The prominent Modular Vision 15.6 Genio700 configuration runs AI inference directly on the device using the MediaTek Genio 700 processor. The system supports medical automation terminals, voice-controlled operator panels, and visual inspection interfaces. An alternative based on MediaTek Genio 510 offers balanced solutions in performance and power consumption.
Live demonstrations run facial recognition, speech processing, and sample inspection functions locally with low latency, without cloud dependency. These features are suitable for industrial environments requiring deterministic response and data locality.
### Unified Software Layer: Ease of Deployment and Maintenance
MediaTek-based platforms are supported by SECO's software environment, which consists of the Application Hub, Developer Centre, and Clea framework. This infrastructure enables model optimization, secure deployment, lifecycle management, and centralized monitoring and updates.
This architecture allows for remote management of devices in distributed installations within the digital supply chain while performing local AI inference.
