### Key Features and Design of the Device

The FLT-SEC-ZP2-…-SV device combines Type 1, 2, and 3 protection functions, ensuring standard compliance, space savings, and the integration of smart metering components. Its compact design leaves more space for common busbar installations and offers higher functional density in metering cabinets with easy adaptation to existing panels.

Thanks to the integrated voltage measurement point, direct power supply for devices in smart metering systems becomes possible. This reduces the need for extra cabling, simplifying installation.

### Compliance with Main Power Supply Standards

According to the VDE-AR-N 4100 standard, only Type 1 surge protective devices using spark gap technology can be used in the main power supply line, and these devices must not draw continuous current for their status indicators. The FLT-SEC-ZP2-…-SV meets this requirement with a fully mechanical and current-free status indicator.

The integrated spark gap limits the follow current after discharge, preventing false tripping of main service fuses. Thus, the device can be installed in compliance with the power supply line before the meter.
