The new XTS EcoLine motor module delivers 95% performance at only 55% of the cost. This innovation provides broader access to intelligent linear transport technology.
Beckhoff has introduced the new cost-saving XTS EcoLine motor module for its eXtend Transport System (XTS). This module offers 95% of the performance of the existing XTS module at 55% of the cost per length, providing a more accessible entry point to advanced mechatronic systems. Furthermore, its full compatibility with the existing XTS portfolio makes it ideal for cost-sensitive applications.
Compact Design with Increased Length
The new XTS EcoLine motor module increases the length of the standard XTS module to 500 mm, providing flexibility in transport. Despite its lower cost, it offers rapid acceleration (up to 10 g) and high travel speeds (up to 4 m/s), making it suitable for production environments requiring high efficiency.
Technical Specifications
The XTS EcoLine module offers an absolute accuracy of 0.70 mm and a repeatability of 0.075 mm. This feature is ideal for hybrid systems where sub-millimeter tolerances can be accepted. The module is capable of handling high loads with a dynamic response, providing nominal forces of 30 N and 45 N, and peak forces of 80 N and 105 N for each mover.
Flexible Use and Hybrid Applications
Beckhoff emphasized that the EcoLine module can be used in conjunction with high-precision XTS modules. This allows manufacturers to create more specialized transport paths and optimize their systems.
